10.40 Prospect Initiatives, theoretical and theological approach to Peacebuilding and Resilience. Hassan Ndugwa

The presentation will focus on how our peacebuilding and resilience approach is grounded in human security, conflict transformation, youth agency, and faith-informed ethics. How we recognise violence and extremism as outcomes of structural injustice, exclusion, and climate stress, and respond through integrated livelihood, climate, governance, and identity-affirming interventions. How we combine evidence-based peacebuilding theory with theological principles of dignity, justice, stewardship, and reconciliation. How we build resilient communities capable of resisting violence and sustaining peace from within. How we adopt a faith-informed, interfaith, and non-proselytising approach to peacebuilding and resilience. How religion and belief systems shape identity, ethics, social norms, and community authority and how we engage faith as a resource for peace, resilience, and social cohesion, while upholding universal human rights and inclusive civic values.
