About the Speaker
Global experience, local understanding
Kari I. Mattila started his first business in 1986. He is a certified business coach and emotional intelligence specialist who has helped hundreds of entrepreneurs to grow and succeed. His background spans education, consulting, and even running a petrol station.

Kari’s work and travels across six continents have given him unique cultural insights that go beyond what you learn at university or in an MBA. He is the Chairperson of MYRY (Micro- and Solo Entrepreneurs Association) and District Manager for Finnish Business Mentors.

MYRY – Micro- and Solo Entrepreneurs Association
MYRY is a national association dedicated to supporting micro- and solo entrepreneurs across Finland. The organisation provides networking opportunities, practical guidance, and advocacy to strengthen the position and success of small-scale entrepreneurs in society.
Through events, training, and peer-to-peer activities, MYRY fosters a strong entrepreneurial community where members can share experiences, learn new skills, and gain the confidence to develop their businesses. The association actively represents the interests of its members in public discussions and works to improve the conditions for entrepreneurship in Finland.
The Chairperson of MYRY is Kari I. Mattila, who also leads the Growth Series workshops.
