The beginning of a new tradition!

For the first time ever, the Consulate General of France in Los Angeles, in partnership with Grand Performances, is launching a large-scale Bastille Day celebration in the heart of Downtown!

Join us on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at California Plaza for an open-air concert and cultural village, free and open to all.

Let’s celebrate French culture, French music, and French food together, in the City of Angels!

What to expect?

Starting at 6PM, join us for a festive evening featuring:

🎶 A live concert celebrating French music

  • Kick things off with Belle Affaire featuring Hannah Brier, a joyful jazz ensemble performing beloved French chanson classics — from Piaf to Aznavour — in a warm, convivial spirit
  • Followed by a speech from Adrien Frier, Consul General of France, and the French and U.S. national anthems, honoring our shared values
  • Then get ready for a high-energy, electro-funk headline performance by Geyster, to spice things up
  • The night wraps up with a DJ set from Joachim Garraud, turning California Plaza into a giant open-air dance floor!

Belle affaire feat Hannah Brier

Belle Affaire is a vibrant French ensemble bringing the golden age of French chanson to life — from Charles Trenet to Édith Piaf, Aznavour, Brassens, and more. For Bastille Day Los Angeles, they will be joined by Franco-American singer Hannah Brier, whose soulful voice and bilingual charm add a modern, heartfelt touch to these beloved classics!

Geyster

Geyster live shows feature band leader Gaël Benyamin (Keys, Vocals) & the female singer Maeva Borzakian (Vocals). They play and sing together a mixture of House & Electronic music with Yacht Rock & Jazz-Funk vibes. Hot!

Joachim Garraud

Joachim Garraud is a trailblazer of the French electronic scene and co-producer of David Guetta’s biggest early hits. Award-winning artist and Grammy-nominated remixer, with 300+ tracks and 900+ shows around the globe. He’s rocked stages at Coachella, Tomorrowland, Lollapalooza and more, with cutting-edge, high-energy live shows. On July 15, he’s bringing the heat to Los Angeles — get ready to dance!
