Learn more about studying at Malmö University, Sweden's southernmost located university. MU has a modern approach to teaching, where a student-centred learning approach plays an important part. They aim to create a multi-disciplinary learning environment, which means students will often study across more than one faculty. Programmes often include internship elements and project work in close cooperation with regional authorities, local initiatives and international companies.

UB is well-renowned internationally for their Swedish School of Textiles and their Swedish School of Library and Information Science as well as the world-leading Resource Recovery research area with its Swedish Centre for Resource Recovery.

Malmö University was founded in 1998. Gothenburg is the largest non-capital in Scandinavia. The Gothenburg region is not only home to more than one million people, but also home to leading global companies such as Volvo, Ericsson, and AstraZeneca.
As the campuses of the University of Gothenburg are located all over the city, you as a student will never be far from the vibrant city life. The location of Gothenburg also provides you with easy access to stunning nature. A recreational walk in the forest, kayaking in a mirror-blank lake, or jumping into the ocean from cliffs in the archipelago will never be far away.
KI is a one-faculty university dedicated solely to the medical and health sciences, with a reputation for top quality research and innovation. It is consistently ranked in the top 50 universities globally and the top 10 medical universities in Europe. It is also the proud home of the Nobel Assembly – 50 professors from KI select the Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine each year.
Teachers at KI divide their time between teaching and conducting research which contributes to keeping them informed of and involved in ongoing developments in their respective fields, making coursework current and cutting edge.
KI is Sweden's largest medical university. 33 per cent of all doctoral students in Sweden in medicine and health sciences in Sweden are at KI. The university is divided into three departmental groups with a total of 21 departments.
At the University of Borås (UB) in southwestern Sweden, 21,000 students and around 840 employees come together with a shared vision: to shape the future and make a meaningful impact. UB has lab environments and research infrastructure that attract students and researchers from all around the world.
The University of Borås is known for its unique programmes in textiles and fashion as well as in resource recovery. The Swedish School of Textiles offers unique educational programmes and performs world-leading research within textiles and fashion focusing on subjects within design, textile technology, and textile management. The university is also home to the Swedish Centre for Resource Recovery (SCRR), a multidisciplinary research environment that hosts research, education, and innovation in order to develop new methods and processes for material recovery and waste refinery.
Borås is strategically located between Stockholm and Gothenburg, which is one reason why it is home to 11,500 companies in a wide range of sizes and sectors.
The learning environment is characterised by an active student life with teaching and research staff in close proximity to our 44,000 students. At Linnaeus University, you will find a rich academic offer with more than 50 degree programmes and 500 courses in English, on both bachelor’s and master’s level. They also offer a number of programmes in distance learning format, if you prefer to stay where you are.
LNU is located in two cities, Kalmar and Växjö. Both cities with nature just around the corner, adding to the quality of life during your studies. Växjö has been declared ‘the Greenest city in Europe’ ↗️ and is surrounded by wonderful forests and lakes. Chalmers occupies a prominent international position in education and research in engineering for sustainable development. They are dedicated to finding solutions to some of today’s urgent and complex global environmental and resource problems.

At Chalmers you’ll learn to think independently and to meet future challenges with the help of engineering methods. Chalmers emphasizes your creativity and believes in free thinking, empowering you to test your own ideas in the real world.
It is a safe and open-minded environment with two campuses, 11 departments, 200 research groups and nearly 10,000 students representing about 60-70 nationalities. Gothenburg is a welcoming and beautiful city with strong student traditions.
At Karlstad University, the goal is to help you discover new perspectives, push boundaries, and grow both academically and personally. Karlstad University is known for strong connections with the surrounding community, working closely with public organizations and private businesses to ensure that the education and research stay relevant and impactful.

Uppsala University is a public research university in Uppsala, Sweden. Founded in 1477, it is the oldest university in Sweden and the Nordic countries still in operation.
For over 500 years, UU has delivered professional and pedagogical education, applied the highest academic standards, and conducted research that makes a real difference. UU has succeeded in recruiting some of the best teaching staff from around the world, and aims to educate, inspire and help students to excel. Since it was founded in 1477, UU has attracted some of the world’s very best minds and eight academics affiliated with the University have been awarded the prestigious Nobel Prize.
MDU has campuses in Eskilstuna and Västerås. Around 18 000 students study courses and programmes in Design and Communication, Economics, Healthcare, Education, Engineering, Chamber Music and Opera.
At MDU research is carried out in many disciplinary domains to solve problems in society, whereby research in Future Energy and Embedded Systems is internationally prominent. Sweden takes equality seriously. And it is no accident that we have been ranked as the second-best country in the world to be located if you are a woman.
This ranking is from The Economist ’s annual glass ceiling index, which assesses where women have the best and worst chances of equal treatment at work in OECD countries.

The 2024 index sees Iceland in the top spot, and Norway, Finland, and France rounding out the top five.
