This Erasmus+ project focused on the vital role of informal support networks in the lives of children, young people with disabilities, their families, and the professionals who support them. Recognizing that strong, well-connected communities can significantly enhance well-being, the project sought to raise awareness and encourage collaboration across Europe.
As part of the initiative, families and professionals from five European countries were interviewed to gain insights into their experiences, challenges, and successes in building and maintaining support networks. These interviews formed the foundation of a podcast series, offering real-life stories, best practices, and innovative approaches to fostering meaningful connections.
The podcast serves as a resource for organizations working with children and young people with disabilities, inspiring them to recognize and strengthen the role of networking in their work. By sharing diverse perspectives and practical examples, the project aims to promote creative solutions that enhance inclusion, support, and opportunities for individuals and families across Europe.
