Join us for the official launch of Valmet Industrial NEXUS, a new research and development program focused on accelerating industrial renewal through human-centered digital technologies and innovative operating models. Industrial NEXUS brings together an extensive ecosystem of companies, universities, research organizations, and other partners to co-create solutions shaping the future of industrial work.
The program addresses key industry challenges such as evolving skill requirements, knowledge transfer and productivity. By combining expertise in areas including artificial intelligence, automation, and human–machine collaboration, Industrial NEXUS aims to build more efficient, sustainable, and future-ready industrial solutions. This ecosystem launch event marks the beginning of a long-term collaboration journey – bringing together ecosystem partners and industry experts to connect, exchange ideas and shape the future together.

Ville Voipio
Board Professional, Professor of Practice
Ville Voipio serves as Chairman of the Board of Technology Industries of Finland, the Tampere University Foundation, and Vaisala, as well as Professor of Practice in Sustainable Global Business at the Turku School of Economics. He is also involved in startups and deep tech companies that commercialize research-based innovations into international business.
Voipio's work focuses on the megatrends shaping the future of industry — climate change, the energy transition, artificial intelligence, and digitalization. Through his board work, growth companies, and academia, he examines how technology, leadership, and new kinds of business models strengthen the competitiveness of Finnish industry and generate sustainable growth.
Voipio is an active voice in public debate, with particular interests in sustainability, growth, and digitalization.
