Päivi Sillanaukee, Keynote Speaker

Previously Dr Sillanaukee has served as Ambassador for Health and Wellbeing at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Director-General and Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, Deputy Mayor and Director of Social and Health Services in the City of Tampere, and held clinical and managerial positions in the Pirkanmaa Hospital District.

Dr Sillanaukee is a specialist in public health and management and doctor honoris causa from the University of Helsinki. She has worked on policies to promote public health, social protection, gender equality, innovation and digitalization.

Petri Lehto, Keynote speaker

Senior Lead, Innovations, The Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra

Petri Lehto is Senior Advisor in the Health Data 2030 project. His work focusses on the competitiveness of the health sector and the use of health data.

Before joining Sitra, Petri spent over 15 years in central government, mostly at the Ministry of Employment and the Economy and its predecessor, the Ministry of Trade and Industry. With his past duties being related to renewal, innovation policy and promoting Finland’s competitiveness, there was significant overlap between Sitra’s and Petri’s interests. Petri has also broadened his perspective on the growth of the health sector, working as the head of policy and communications for a large US-based pharmaceutical company.

Taku Iwami, Keynote speaker

Professor of Graduate School of Medicine, School of Public Health, Kyoto University

Professor Iwami is a leading expert in the advancement and implementation of Personal Health Records (PHR) in Japan. He serves as the Representative Director of the PHR Council and as an Independent Director at Healthtech Laboratory, Inc. His work focuses on developing and implementing secure systems that allow individuals to effectively manage and utilize their personal health information throughout their lifetime.

Since 2015, Professor Iwami has been a faculty member in the Department of Preventive Medicine at the Graduate School of Medicine, Kyoto University. As an expert in emergency medicine, his research also encompasses cardiopulmonary resuscitation, out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, and emergency medical systems.

Currently she works as Senior Director of Health & Consumer as well as leading the Health Mission in Business Finland. Prior to Business Finland, she has worked several years in management consulting.

Kei Shigaki, Moderator

Kei Shigaki brings over 30 years of global experience in corporate relations, foreign direct investment promotion, and international business development across both public and private sectors, with postings in Tokyo, London, and Washington, D.C. Currently serving as Senior Advisor at the Trade Section of the Embassy of Finland/Business Finland in Tokyo, Kei leads investment promotion efforts from Japan to Finland, with a particular focus on the healthcare sector as well as bio and circular economies.
