本イベントではAI、次世代コネクティビティ、デジタル・レジリエンス、サイバー・セキュリティ、量子技術の各分野からフィンランドの著名な研究者・ビジネス・リーダーを招き、フィンランドの研究開発最前線とデジタル・ソリューションがもたらすイノベーションを紹介します。
また将来の持続可能なグローバル経済の基盤でもあるこれら要素技術の国際協力について、日本とフィンランドが協働することのシナジーについて議論します。

Business Finland will be holding a “Finland DX Cluster Day” at the Nordic Pavilion, Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai from 13:00 to 17:30 on Monday, May 26, 2025.
Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) will support this event.
Finland is known as one of the most digital-advanced nations in the world. Not only in the business sector, but also in the public sector and in everyday life, the application of digital technology is making remarkable progress. The cornerstone of this is supported by the continuous research and development of cutting-edge digital technology and the rapid implementation to the society, and Finland's technological capabilities and achievements are highly regarded around the world.
At this event, we will invite prominent Finnish researchers and business leaders from the fields of AI, next-generation connectivity, digital resilience, cyber security, and quantum technology to introduce the frontlines of Finnish research and development and the innovations brought about by digital solutions.
We will also discuss the synergies of Japan and Finland working together on international cooperation for these elemental technologies, which are also the foundation of a sustainable global economy in the future.

Executive Director, Finnish Chamber of Commerce in Japan
フィンランド生まれのアンティ・クンナスは、直近の15年間を日本で過ごしています。関西大学を卒業後いくつかの多国籍企業に勤務され、2019年に自営業の道に進みます。直近6年間は兼務して在日フィンランド商工会議所の専務理事としてフィンランド企業の日本活動に幅広く関わっています。
Antti Kunnas has spent the past 15 years in Japan. After graduating from Kansai University in Osaka, he was first working with several multinational enterprises before establishing his own business in 2019. While he is currently involved in several fields of business, ranging from startup to more traditional sectors, he is especially familiar with Finland and Finnish companies’ activities through his work as the executive director of the Finnish Chamber of Commerce in Japan for the past 6 years. One of his goals is to advance mutual understanding and collaboration between Finnish and Japanese companies.
Antti Kunnas is also the CEO at AIK Global Consulting and General manager at Demola Global Japan. He is also a Senior advisor at PUROSI.
Mission Lead, Digitalization, Business Finland
Janne leads the Business Finland strategic Mission related to digitalization. The mission truly touches most of us as digital transformation is picking up speed and importance globally.
Janne has over 25 years of national/international experience in lean/agile leadership, innovation, digitalization, and software engineering.
Janne has work experience from various positions in software industry from programmer to VP Engineering in small and large software companies.
Additionally, Janne has been active in/with academia in various research programmes under European EIT DIGITAL, H2020/ESPRIT, ECSEL, CELTIC+ and ITEA.
He has also led two major national R&D programs with active collaboration between software intensive industry and research (Cloud Software & Need for Speed) with combined budget over 100MEUR.
Janne holds a PhD in Information processing science from University of Oulu (2001).

Member of the Finnish Parliament
Jarno Limnell is a Member of Parliament in Finland, adjunct professor, a Doctor of Military Science and a member of expert network in the World Economic Forum. In addition to his political career, Limnéll holds the position of Work Life Professor of Cybersecurity at Aalto University.
Professor, University of Oulu, Vice-Director, 6G Flagship, PI of 5G test network
Ari Pouttu is a professor of dependable wireless communications and has scientific and engineering experience as a researcher, project manager and research manager in various domains of ICT development. The projects under his command have resulted in waveforms and system designs for military radio communication, radar systems, embedded device networks, future wireless radio communications including cellular systems, cognitive networks and navigation applications.
He has published more than 90 conference or journal papers in the field of wireless communications and he holds two patents. He is the principal investigator of 5G test network (5GTN) experimental research, co-PI in seven HE projects and vice-director of the national 6G Flagship Programme as well as 6GESS programme targeting 6G solutions including wireless solutions for business verticals such as energy, industry, health, security & defence and vehicular.
Dr., Co-CEO, IQM Quantum Computers
Mikko Välimäki is Co-CEO of IQM Quantum Computers. He has founded and led several technology companies and held board member positions in both startups and publicly listed companies. He was IQM’s Chairman after founding and served on the Board until joining the management as Co-CEO to scale the business.
In the past Välimäki led storage software company Tuxera Inc. as founding CEO to over hundred people and high-margin sales across Europe, Asia and North America. The company became the worldwide leader in file systems and storage software for consumer and industrial electronics applications.
He has a PhD in software business from Aalto University and a master’s degree in law from the University of Helsinki.
Connectivity Lead, VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland
Mika Rantakokko is currently working in the role of Connectivity Lead which involves spearheading R&D and fostering company collaborations that harness digitalization's full potential.
Previously, he has worked as Liaison Manager at the 6G Flagship at the University of Oulu, he contributed to pioneering research in 6G technology, setting the stage for future advancements.
Mika is also, among other things, a former coordinator of European Wireless ICT Smart Specialisation Platform and EU Urban Agenda Digital Transition Partnership.
