Welcome to Kids Summer Party!
A special day for children! The flagpoles outside City Hall are flying colourful art flags designed by Pori’s children and young people together with the Kruunupää Centre for Children’s Culture. In Raatihuoneenpuisto, a festive programme is being organised by various city services, and child visitors can enjoy free admission to the Satakunta Museum.
The programme is suitable for children of all ages, with activities especially well suited for those aged around 4–8. The activity stations are described in more detail further down on this page.
Visitors are welcome to explore the activity stations at their own pace throughout the event.
The Kids Summer Party is being held in celebration of Pori receiving the Child Friendly City recognition for the third time. The recognition will be officially presented later on Monday at the City Council meeting, beginning at 4 pm.

Arrival
- Please enter the Kids Summer Party from the Valtakatu Streetside of the park.
- Please exit the event via the Hallituskatu Street side.
- Access to the Satakunta Museum is via the left-hand corner of the park on the Hallituskatu Street side.
Activity Stations
- Upon arrival, visitors will receive a map of the event area showing all activity stations with illustrated icons.
- The map features Pori’s familiar bear mascot enjoying various activities around the event.
Safety
- The first aid station and a meeting point for lost children and caregivers are located at the Hallituskatu Street end of the park, beneath the bear statue.
- Please remember to follow safe and considerate traffic behaviour.
Anything Else?
- Dress appropriately for the weather.
- In the event of exceptionally poor weather, the event will be cancelled. Any cancellation will be announced on this page, on the city’s website, and through the city’s social media channels.

Hobby Horse Obstacle Course and Stable (Pori Youth Workshops)
Painting Picnic: Create imaginative summer treats with giant brushes on a large shared canvas! Paint ice cream mountains, giant strawberries, colourful cakes and other joyful party delicacies. Everyone can leave their own delicious mark on this collaborative summer celebration artwork. (Pori Art School)
Royal Crown Workshop: Children can decorate and create their very own crowns. After all, every celebration deserves a festive headpiece! (Kruunupää Children’s Cultural Centre)

Library Bike, Pop-Up Library and Book Giveaway Corner: Take a seat on a park bench and enjoy a moment of reading and exploring! (Pori City Library)

Children’s Sports World in the Park: We’ll bring popular sports and play equipment from Children’s Sports World for independent play and active fun. (City Sports Services)
