The event is organised by the Embassy of Finland together with some of Finland’s most acclaimed higher education institutions. In the event you will hear an insightful presentation by Sonja Amadae. You will get to meet and network with other UK-based alumni of Finnish higher education institutions, and hear alumni keynote speakers.
The reception takes place in the evening at the Ambassador’s Residence at
14 Kensington Palace Gardens, London W8 4QP
Drinks and appetizers will be served.
Dress code lounge suit/business casual. The event is held in English.
Please note that there are a limited number of seats reserved for each university, and we cannot guarantee everyone a spot. The embassy will later send you a confirmation via email, with more detailed instructions for the arrival.
Ambassador of Finland to the UK
S.M. Amadae is a tenured political scientist at the University of Helsinki, with a research focus on nuclear war and security, climate change and collective action, and AI’s impact on human’s ability to govern catastrophic risks. She joined CSER as Director in March 2025 from the University of Helsinki.
Rasmus Vuori is the Vice Dean for Education at the Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture.
Combining institutional pragmatism with experimental thinking, his work focuses on developing human-centered approaches to creativity, learning, and emerging technologies in both artistic practice and higher education.
