Mothers Empowered!

Welcome to a networking evening full of insights and new friends!

Let's talk about jobs and networking!

You are warmly welcome to a networking evening for mothers!

Mothers with immigrant backgrounds and Finnish mothers will come together on November 12 to talk about working life – with motherhood and the power of networks as the common theme. HAMK (Häme University of Applied Sciences), the City of Hämeenlinna, TyöHäme Employment Sevices, and Mothers in Business Kanta-Häme invite you to a unique evening of discussion on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 5 to 7 PM at PARKKI Business Park in Hämeenlinna.

This empowering evening offers mothers a meaningful package of career-related insights, peer support, new contacts, and supportive networks. We’ll talk about job opportunities in Hämeenlinna and the surrounding areas, and how to balance work and family life. You’ll hear from experts and local employers, and take part in small-group discussions and relaxed conversations where you can share experiences and build new connections. Seasonal treats, inspiring company, and practical career tips are included!

The event is free of charge.

Sign up, invite a fellow mother to join, and come help us build an international network of mothers! Places are limited, so register soon.

Register by October 31.

The registration form is available in Finnish and English, and you can fill it out in either language. You can change the language from the top left corner of the form.

Who is it for?

This event is for all mothers in Hämeenlinna and surrounding areas who are interested in working life and networking. You are warmly welcome whether you have lived in Finland for a short time, a long time, or your whole life. MiB membership is not required to participate.

What’s happening?

We’ll begin with discussions about the search for jobs and professional networks in Hämeenlinna, as well as how to build a family-friendly city. After that, we’ll move into small-group work.

We’ll publish the full program on this page and on social media – stay tuned!

In what language?

We will switch between Finnish and English throughout the event. The panelists will be talking mostly in Finnish. Key content will be interpreted between the languages and you can ask in English and Finnish. We'll be summarizing key points on screen in both the languages.

Where – and can I bring my children?

The event takes place at PARKKI Business Park in Hämeenlinna (Raatihuoneenkatu 21–23). This event is for mothers only, but small babies are welcome. For older children, we offer a supervised childcare service located in the building above the Fifth Avenue restaurant (Sibeliuksenkatu 2).
